Caves & Cascades
Caves:
Many caves have been discovered in this area of the Upper Amazon. Some are open to the public and can be visited from Cotococha Amazon Lodge. The Jumandy Cave is one of the most impressive caves.
Cascades:
The remarkable number of waterfalls has been distinguishing the area surrounding Cotococha Amazon Lodge; Cotococha's best choice is the "Las Latas" waterfall, located just one hour from Cotococha Amazon Lodge. A short canoe ride, followed by an easy walk through some beautiful secondary forests, leads you to Latas. This amazing waterfall has a natural rock waterslide and a water pit for bathing. There are a couple of other waterfalls that can be visited during your stay depending on time. Be sure to bring your bathing suit!
